These terms govern your use of Encore, a marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned Apple Mac computers operated at encoremacs.com. By using Encore you agree to these terms.

How Encore works

Encore connects buyers and sellers of pre-owned Macs and acts as an escrow intermediary. We do not own the items listed. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings; buyers are responsible for reviewing listings before purchase.

Escrow & payments

Buyer payments are collected and held by Encore through our payment processor.
Funds are released to the seller after the item is delivered and the buyer's inspection window has passed without a valid dispute.
Encore charges fees disclosed at the time of listing and checkout.

Seller obligations

List only Macs you own and are legally entitled to sell.
Describe the item accurately, including condition and configuration, and remove any activation locks or accounts before shipping.
Ship promptly using the provided or an equivalent tracked, insured method.

Buyer protection

Buyers have a defined window after delivery to inspect and test the item. If the item materially differs from the listing, buyers may open a dispute for a resolution or refund before funds are released.

Prohibited activity

No fraudulent, counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items; no attempts to transact off-platform to avoid protections; no misuse of the service.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is." Encore is not the manufacturer of any item and makes no warranty on items sold by users. To the extent permitted by law, Encore's liability is limited to the fees collected on the relevant transaction.
